The Wade Programme in India

Following the recent 4-day MRCS Part B OSCE examination diet in Kerala (India), the College also held a half-day CME seminar for trainers and trainees, including surgical anatomy sessions (Wade Programme).

Professors Ross Jones and Gordon Findlater delivered an MRCS surgical anatomy revision session for approximately 50 local core surgical trainees, along with a CME session for prospective trainers. These sessions outlined the level of surgical anatomy knowledge required throughout training, from undergraduate medical study and basic surgical training, through to specialty training and consultant practice.

The Wade Programme in Surgical Anatomy was established in 2012 with the goal of supporting the study of surgical anatomy throughout training. Further details about the Wade Programme can be found in the following open access publication: Wade Programme in Surgical Anatomy (RCSEd).
