The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint seven members of the Hunter-Doig Women in Surgery Group, from 1 June 2025, for a period of three years. The Group has delegated authority from the Council to undertake activities, campaigns, advocacy and the development of supporting services to promote the role of women in surgery. The Group will meet three times a year in person or online, and will support the College's strategic objectives of enhancing diversity in its membership and ultimately ensuring excellence in surgical practice.
The RCSEd is looking for a wide representation of experience, backgrounds and perspectives. We are welcoming applications from people at any career level, in any specialty, from any country and any gender. Applicants should be RCSEd Fellows and Members in good standing and have a strong desire to address the barriers facing women in surgery and dentistry, while promoting inclusive practices that benefit the entire medical community.
