The Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) invites applications for several prestigious positions on our Advisory and Specialty Advisory Boards. We are currently seeking dedicated professionals for the following roles:

• Dental Education Advisory Board Members
• Dental Implant Advisory Board Members
• Oral Surgery & Oral Medicine Specialty Advisory Board Members
• Primary Dental Care Advisory Board Chair and Members
• Restorative Dentistry Specialty Advisory Board Members
• Special Care Dentistry Specialty Advisory Board Members
• Paediatric Dentistry Specialty Advisory Board Members
• DCP Examination Board Chair and Members

Established in 1982, the Faculty of Dental Surgery at RCSEd is the oldest, largest, and most international of all the UK’s Surgical Royal Colleges.

This is a dynamic and pivotal time for our Advisory Boards, offering an exceptional opportunity for skilled, motivated, and experienced individuals to contribute to the advancement of dental education and examinations. We are committed to a fair and merit-based selection process, ensuring appointments are made solely based on applicants' qualifications, experience, and suitability as measured against the role’s job description and person specification.

As the College undertakes a review of its governance frameworks and develops the Dental Specialty Fellowship Examinations, the structure of these boards may evolve to align with new processes and procedures. However, their essential work will continue. We encourage applicants who are eager to engage in the development of Royal College examinations and educational initiatives to apply and take part in this exciting period of transformation.
