The RCSEd Birmingham Regional Centre has recently completed its relocation to Digbeth, the former industrial heart of Birmingham, which over the past ten years has become the city’s creative centre. We are now based on Oxford Street, on the doorstep of the new BBC headquarters and a 7 min walk from Curzon St, the new HS2 station.
All three city centre stations (New Street; Moor Street; Curzon Street) are less than a 15-minute walk away, making the office accessible via public transport to the whole country – particularly the 40% of RCSEd Members and Fellows based in England and Wales.
The new centre will be able to host more courses, exams and conferences than our previous home on Colmore Row. We have almost doubled the capacity of our largest meeting space, with room for 90 (theatre style) and 56 (cabaret style).
Members and Fellows are welcome to drop in to for small, informal meetings (subject to availability) or can book the space in advance for more formal activities. The Centre will play host to the Policy and Public Affairs team; the International Postgraduate Deanery, and wider Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement team; as well as our events team who are on hand to support any educational and commercial events.
Please contact birmingham@rcsed.ac.uk if you are interested in hosting a course or other event with us. We thank you for your patience during this phase.
