The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is proud to host the Smiles Across the Globe - Cutting-Edge Paediatric Dentistry Conference, taking place on 19-20 September 2025. This event is organised in partnership with the American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD).
Professor Ferranti Wong, a prominent leader in paediatric dentistry and President of the EAPD, shared insights on the upcoming conference.
“The theme of this conference focuses on leveraging modern technology to restore the smiles of children suffering from oral diseases,” Professor Wong explained. “For the first time, we are bringing together three major organisations—RCSEd, AAPD, and EAPD—to create a global platform for improving children's oral health.”
The conference will feature the latest advancements in paediatric dentistry, including artificial intelligence, novel dental materials, and innovations in the management of conditions like sleep apnea and periodontal diseases. It aims to foster collaboration among dental professionals and promote the adoption of new technologies for improved childcare.
Attendees will benefit from cutting-edge talks by renowned experts, and have opportunities to expand their networks, making it an essential event for both experienced practitioners and newcomers to the field.
