Applications Sought for the Role of Exams Lead for the Diplomas in Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Endodontics

The RCSEd Faculty of Dental Surgery invites applications for the role of lead for the Diplomas in Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Endodontics. 

This role is a fixed-term co-option to the Specialty Advisory Board in Restorative Dentistry, for a period of 3 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing Diploma examinations in the three specialties. They will work with the Convenor of Exams and the Leads for the other Diplomas in Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry, Dental Implantology and Dental Sedation. It is intended that the curriculum which will be assessed is aligned to the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of a dentist with enhanced skills, and broadly aligned to the NHS England Tier 2 commissioning structure in the relevant field.

Support for the role will be provided by Head of Education, the SAB in Restorative Dentistry and the Dental Examinations team.

Applicants must be a current Fellow or Specialty Member of the RCSEd Faculty of Dental Surgery in good standing and have no conflicts of interest. They will need to be a registered Specialist in Restorative Dentistry or one of the relevant single specialties.
