Applications are invited for Examiners for the Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology
The examination for the Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology is designed to test the ability of candidates to treat patients as delegated by a registered dentist. The range of skills to be tested in the examination include only those which are specified in the Learning Outcomes for Clinical Dental Technology as stated in “Preparing for Practice” published by the General Dental Council, available on their website.
The College wishes to increase its Faculty of Examiners in this discipline and applications are invited.
Examiners must be in good standing with the General Dental Council and should have been registered with the GDC for a period of not less than four years.
The Faculty of Examiners comprises individuals who can undertake assessment of candidates’ nominated subject in the mono-specialties of prosthodontics and dental material sciences for the award of the Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology.
Training for all examiners will be provided by the College.
All appointed examiners will be expected to contribute to the question bank and attend appropriate further training.
Current dates scheduled for training are being planned as our course is moving online with immediate effect, and examiners must attend a training course and observe a diet of the examination before being permitted to examine.
Successful applicants will be invited to training on approval of their application.
The application form, referee form and the criteria for applicants can be found below.
Completed applications should be returned by email preferably, or to the postal address below.
