Overview
This webinar will cover the range of presentations in acute limb ischaemia, from embolism to acute on chronic deterioration. It will provide structure to the assessment and management of the acutely ischaemic limb, including the range of options available for revascularisation and the evidence base for these.
Aims
- To discuss challenges to diagnosis of ALI and how to address these
- To discuss recognition of a non-viable limb and potential management strategies
- To discuss immediate life and limb saving interventions – medical, endovascular and surgical
- To describe further investigations and management to prevent recurrence
- To discuss the role of amputation, rehabilitation and prosthetics.
