Following on from the previous Webinar on the topic of 'Aerosols and Patient Safety - Where Are We Now?', this webinar will benefit dentists from all sectors and will discuss the recent advice from all the major national Societies, Colleges and the NHS across the UK. This will be a discussion as to how the profession is responding to national advice and whether they feel supported by it.

- Philip Taylor - RCSEd FDS Dean Elect
Professor Philip Taylor is Professor of Prosthodontics at QMUL and Restorative Consultant at Barts Heath NHS Trust where he is Clinical Director for Dentistry. He has been director of the postgraduate course in Prosthodontics at QMUL for 20 years and has examined for the College at several levels. He is the Dean Elect of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and will take up the role of Dean following the Dental AGM on 2nd October 2020. - Richard Cure - RCSEd Convener of Dental Education
Richard Cure is Associate Professor, Head of Orthodontics at The University of Warwick. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Trainers and a GDC Education Associate. He examines for the College at MOrth, MFDS and MAGDS. - Nadia Al Ani - GDP FD Trainer
Nadia is a GDP at a mixed NHS and private practice in Wakefield. She completed her FD Training there and has herself been an FD trainer for 5 years. In 2012 she completed her Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with the RCS England. She also completed a PGCert in Clinical Education in 2017. Nadia has also been a member of the Primary Care advisory board with RCS Edinburgh since 2017. - Jeremy Hayes - Consultant in Restorative Dentistry
In the context of this webinar, since the start of lockdown, Jeremy has been working in Wales in a UDC doing AGPs (specifically accessing teeth). - Len D’Cruz - Head of Indemnity at BDA & GDP
Len is a general dental practitioner, foundation trainer and practice owner testing the NHS prototypes. He has 21 years’ experience as a dento-legal advisor supporting dentists with complaints, clinical and regulatory issues, and clinical negligence claims. He is lead lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire teaching on the MA in Dental Law and Ethics. He has authored and co-authored two books: “Understanding NHS dentistry” and “Legal aspects of general dental practice” (Churchill Livingstone) and has contributed legal and ethical content to a number of text books and journals and websites. He regularly shares his wisdom on NHS regulations and contract reform. He has both dental and legal qualifications: BDS Royal London 1989, LDS RCS, Dip FOd, MFGDP, LLM, PGCert Med Ed and FFFLM.
