The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh disburse two scholarships each year in collaboration with our generous donors.

Jane Goodman Memorial Scholarship in Paediatric Dentistry

Dr Jane Goodman (1948-2019) was a consultant in paediatric dentistry, who made a significant contribution to the speciality. A former Vice-Dean of the College, Dr Goodman had an abiding interest in training, education and supporting the next generation of dentists. The Scholarship is a recognition and memorial to that support she offered through her life. The College is deeply indebted to the Trustees of the Jane Goodman Charitable Trust for making this Scholarship possible.

The Dental Faculty is pleased to offer Affiliates, Members and Fellows of the Dental Faculty and/or the Faculty of Dental Trainers an opportunity to apply for financial support to help pursue an educational qualification at Diploma, Masters or Clinical Doctorate level in paediatric dentistry.

RCSEd - Chennai IFT Scholarship

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is pleased to announce the creation of the RCSEd – Chennai ITF Scholarship. This scholarship aims to provide a career- changing experience in the NHS applicants from Chennai, or working in Chennai at the time of application, by offering financial assistance for the registrations required for an NHS International Training Fellowship.

Applicants can work independently to arrange their NHS International Training Fellowship but can equally contact the IPD for assistance.

The successful applicant will have the following fees and registrations paid for: GMC Registration, ISCP Registration and MTI VISA.

Applicants should be a Member or Fellow of the College, have passed the MRCS Part B exam, be GMC eligible and originate or work in Chennai at the time of application.

This award has been made possible by a generous donation made by the Court of Benefactors, Chennai.
