RCSEd Birmingham Regional Centre Relocates

Published: 8 November 2024

The College’s Birmingham Regional Centre has recently relocated to Digbeth, the former industrial heart of Birmingham, which over the past ten years has become the city’s creative centre. The offices and meeting spaces are now based on Oxford Street, on the doorstep of the new BBC headquarters and a 7 min walk from Curzon St, the new HS2 station.

All three city centre stations (New Street; Moor Street; Curzon Street) are less than a 15-minute walk away, making the centre accessible via public transport from all corners of the country – particularly for the 40% of RCSEd Fellows and Members based in England and Wales.

The new centre can now host more courses, examinations and conferences than its previous home on Colmore Row.  The capacity of the largest meeting space has almost doubled, with room for 90 (theatre style) and 56 (cabaret style) delegates.

Fellows and Members are welcome to drop-in for small, informal meetings (subject to availability) or can book the space in advance for more formal activities. The centre plays host to the Policy and Public Affairs team; the International Postgraduate Deanery, and wider Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement team; as well as the Events Team who are on hand to support any educational and commercial events.
