Tripartite Cardiothoracic Surgical Care Practitioner Exam: 2022

Congratulations to all Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgical Care Practitioners (SCP) who have successfully passed their Tripartite CT SCP Exit Examination.  This examination was conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in conjunction with the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland (SCTS) and Association of CT Surgical Care Practitioners (ACTSCP) on 5-6th December 2022 in the Birmingham offices of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Six candidates appeared for the exams and successfully passed the examination. We would like to thank all the examiners for their input and the candidates for their hard work and determination. The highest scoring candidate will be awarded Swann Morton Golden Scalpel award.

All the successful candidates will be invited to attend the RCSEd Diploma award ceremony at Edinburgh. Candidates who fulfil the criteria will be awarded with the “Fellowship of the Faculty of Perioperative Care Practice” and others will be invited as Members into the “Faculty of Perioperative Care Practice”.

The process was lead and delivered by Mr Sridhar Rathinam, The Chair of Cardiothoracic SSB RCSEd and Communication Secretary of the SCTS, Prof Bhuvana Krishnamoorthy President ACTSCP and the National NAHP chair for the SCTS Mr Balacumaraswami Lognathen, the SCP Exam led for the SSB and Dr. Yvonne Hurst Head of Education RCSEd.
