About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance, this new Records Manager role will occupy a prominent position within a small collaborative team, working closely with the Library and Archive Service, the Digital Services Team and colleagues across the College to lead a project to assess current Records Management practices across the College (both on-site and off-site) and develop an improvement plan, which will cumulate in a comprehensive Information and Records Management (IRM) framework that is embedded in operational practice and in alignment with the College’s new digital strategy.

You may be required outside of normal working hours and travel for work occasionally.

Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills

This is a superb opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual with talent, experience, and skill in Records Management to join our historic College, to help improve our IRM capabilities and support the delivery of the College’s Microsoft 365 Migration Project.  

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) you will have a qualification or appropriate experience in Information Records Management with sound knowledge of the risks and issues surrounding the management and preservation of physical and digital records.

You will have experience within the Microsoft 365 environment with excellent communication skills and the the ability to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a wider team.

You must have the ability to prioritise and deliver your workload with minimum supervision. A high level of professionalism and diplomacy is required for the role as is a willingness to take on new challenges and be receptive to change.

Practical experience in setting up both document libraries and records libraries in Microsoft SharePoint Online is desirable.
