At RCSEd we are proud to offer a range of funding opportunities to support our Members and Fellows in every stage of their careers, through our portfolio of research fellowships, travelling fellowships, grants and bursaries. Annually we provide over half a million pounds of funding to support our Affiliates, Members and Fellows in the UK and Internationally, in both research and the pursuit of education and training. We also work with over 100 organisations, donors, charities and education institutions across the globe to ensure that we consistently improve and build upon our portfolio and are able to provide the very best funding, recognition, training and educational opportunities.
In addition to funding, at RCSEd we seek to celebrate and recognise the successes and contributions of our Members and Fellows through an extensive and prestigious portfolio of medals, lectureships, prizes, professorships and awards. Annually over 60 medals are awarded at College Diploma ceremonies and speciality events to commemorate examination success and significant contributions to surgery and dentistry.
Our portfolio of funding and recognition opportunities is governed by the Research Committee and Awards Committee, both of which consist of expert clinicians and academics in a variety of surgical and dental specialties. Our College and Dental Councils, along with our Faculties, also oversee a number of our specialist recognition opportunities.

Research Committee members are responsible for the College’s research strategy, and oversee the scoring panels which score and review the College’s portfolio of Fellowship, Grants and Bursaries.
