The AOMRC, in collaboration with hosts, the RCOG and FSRH, have announced details for the next SAS Doctor conference. This year the theme is ‘SAS Doctor Careers – Challenges and Opportunities’ and will take place on the 30th November 2020, via an online platform. Booking is now open, and more details can be found here.
This collaborative virtual event will see professionals from a wide range of national bodies and specialties come together to update on all recent national work and topics relevant to SAS Doctors, plus give examples of "best practice" to motivate/maximise SAS career potential. As well as topics of relevance and interest to all specialties, there will also be some specialty-specific CESR sessions available.
This will be an interactive event with opportunities for Q&A and discussion in breakout groups. There will be a Q&A section with College SAS leads, a CESR section for different specialties with the Joint Surgical Colleges CESR lead attending to cover this session.
The event is a great opportunity for anyone interested in finding out more about SAS Doctor careers and optimising the potential of these posts as a fulfilling and rewarding alternative to a consultant career e.g. medical students, trainees, clinical directors, DME’s, locally employed doctors and SAS doctors in all specialties.
Full information can be found here as well as the booking process.
