Coronavirus/COVID-19: Update from President on College Activities

Published: 13 March 2020

In light of the UK Government’s decision to move to the DELAY phase of their effort to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 virus, we have taken the decision to postpone all examinations, courses and College events for the next few months from Monday 16 March 2020. This applies across the College and includes all of our Faculties.

Our teams are working hard to reschedule all our Examinations to later in the year to reduce the impact on the career path of those in an early stage of our profession. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

All future Diploma Ceremonies will be postponed until later in the year. When it is safe to do so we will plan for additional ceremonies to ensure that no-one has to wait too long.

Where possible we will look to reschedule other educational courses, CPD and events just as soon as the restrictions are lifted. We do have an excellent bank of Webinars to keep you going in the meantime. We will continue to develop these and to look for ways that we can support your career in these coming months.

Access our Webinars here.

All of our Committees and meetings will continue where necessary but by video conference. We will continue to meet with the CMOs of England and Scotland and with the UK Government and will continue to work with our sister Colleges to make sure that we keep you up to date with everything.

Our thoughts are with you and your families as you work hard to support and protect the population at this difficult time.
