We offer our hearty congratulations to all our new Fellows and Members, many of whom will be attending our latest Diploma Presentation Ceremony in Edinburgh on Friday 28 June. From Detroit to Dundee and from Bangalore to Birmingham, some eighty individuals from around the world will be presented with their diplomas and medals. Our regular diploma ceremonies provide new Fellows and Members with an opportunity to reflect on their successes and to celebrate with friends and family.
Among those honoured in June include Professor Thomas G. Weiser, a trauma and critical care surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at Stanford University. Currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Edinburgh, Tom will be admitted to Fellowship Ad Hominem and will deliver an address to all diplomates at the end of the ceremony. New Zealand-based Professor John Windsor, a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, specialising in pancreatic, biliary, gastric and oesophageal surgery, joins Tom with Admission to Fellowship Ad Hominem. Other notable awards on the day include the presentation of the Syme, McCormack and William Houston Medals. Congratulations to all new diplomates! Photographs from the event will be available to view on our Facebook account.
